State-owned counterparts Gazprom and PetroVietnam have decided to progress a feasibility study into a pilot project for a small-scale liquefied natural gas facility in Vietnam.
LNG produced at the plant would be utilised as fuel for vehicles.
The two companies are already partners at the producing Hai Thach and Moc Tinh fields in the Nam Con Son basin off Vietnam through the 50:50 joint venture Vietgazprom.
