Indeed, the reduction of wellbore tapering that expandables allow appears to be just as good a selling point at present as the complete elimination of tapering that monodiameter promises.
A significant step forward for solid expandables is scheduled for the end of this year when market-leader Enventure Global Technology is due to undertake the most commercial step yet on the road to monodiameter in a project in the Norwegian North Sea for Hydro.
