TOTAL and Azeri state oil company Socar are involved in intensive talks to recover momentum on the planned Absheron gas development in the Caspian Sea off Azerbaijan after the French giant’s initial plans were rejected.
Those talks centre on the need for a new gas sales agreement to drive the project forward, but the partners also have to resolve issues surrounding how the field is developed.
