The agreement covers Soco's entire shareholding in its wholly owned subsidiaries Soco Mongolia and Soco Tamtsag Mongolia, which hold stakes in three production sharing contracts over contract areas 9, 11 and 12 in Mongolia's Tamtsag basin.
The deal is expected to be completed following approval of the disposal by Soco shareholders at an extraordinary general meeting.
According to the agreement, Daqing will acquire all of Soco's Mongolian interests from Soco International Operations and Soco International Cayman.
