Solstad Energy has won a deal from Ophir Energy to carry out platform installation work under the fourth development phase of its Bualuang field off Thailand.
Solstad will use its derrick-lay barge Norce Endeavour to install the Bualuang Charlie bridge-linked wellhead platform, as well as retrofit extension structures on existing facilities at the field in the Gulf of Thailand.
Offshore installation work is due to start in July following project management and engineering to be performed at Solstad’s offices in Singapore.
