The move followed the expulsion earlier this week of Liu Yingcai, the Chinese president of the Petrodar consortium comprising the Chinese National Petroleum Corporation and Malaysia’s Petronas.

Cited by Sudan Peoples Liberation Movement Secretary General Pagan Amum as one of the reasons for Yingcai’s expulsion was “a lack of co-operation with the government”.
