Norwegian authorities are set to decide the future for a new major North Sea project after operators Statoil and Aker BP failed to agree on a development solution.

The two companies operate several discoveries in an area north of the Alvheim field, known as Noaka, including Aker BP-operated Fulla, Froy and Frigg Gamma Delta and Statoil-operated Krafla and Askja. Polish player Lotos is a partner in several of the licences.
