By 18 July, the company had airlifted 348 people, including 191 of its employees, from Juba to Kenya. Other personnel removed from the site were CNPC’s working partners and contractors.

The company has kept a minimum 77 workers in South Sudan in order to maintain the normal production in Juba and Block 3/7, but is ready to remove them and shut the operation if security deteriorates, it said.
