In contrast to the good progress made on the jacket construction at Dragados Offshore in Spain, that on the topsides modules has been slower than anticipated. A Statoil spokesman said this week: “We are not satisfied with progress. However, we are seeing an improvement.”
He emphasised that the 2017 start-up date for Mariner has not changed, despite market speculation that the project will be delayed by about a year.
