UK-based broker Derrick Offshore has been appointed to handle the sale of most of the vessels, although two are believed to be out of its remit.
A Stolt spokesman said the units on offer are the Seaway Kestrel, Seaway Kingfisher, Seaway Legend, Seaway Rover, Seaway Invincible, Seaway Explorer and the Annette shallow-water pipelay barge currently based in Indonesia.
"There's no timeline for any sale," said the spokesman.
