Prosafe's floating production business was bought from Nortrans Offshore in March 2001 for Nkr1.8 billion ($260 million), a price regarded as high by many investors.
However, after taking into account the fact that the market has slowed down, Prosafe has performed well, even though some investors would have liked more newbuild contracts.
Last year was Prosafe Production's first full year in operation and the company posted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation on amortisation of Nkr275 million on total assets in the floating production business of Nkr2.9
