Clough has for some years leased the Sattahip fabrication yard in Thailand, and has used it to build a number of wellhead platforms and process modules, such as the Manora wellhead platform now in the yard and nearing completion.
STP&I said taking over the lease should help expand the production capacity of its modular building work by 10,000 tonnes annually.
The yard area is ready to be used without additional capital investment, and the buyer added that it will immediately add 500 more staff and skilled labourers.
