Equinor’s highly anticipated Stromlo-1 well in the Great Australian Bight is set to be delayed as the company seeks the necessary permits to drill the frontier wildcat, writes Josh Lewis.
The Norwegian operator had been expected to spud the exploration well on EPP39 in the 2019-2020 drilling season off South Australia, but it lodged an application late last week to suspend and extend its current work programme commitments.
