While many Brazilian shipyards are still struggling to beat the challenges surrounding technology and innovation, STX OSV took the decisive step years ago to take on the risks of building the first two PLSVs in the country.
“We learned a lot by building these vessels. They are extremely complex. Our main challenge was to deal with a technology we weren’t familiar with at the time we constructed them,” says STX OSV Brazil chief operating officer Paulo Rolim.
