The ExxonMobil-led Hibernia Management&Development Company (HMDC) has invited expressions of interest from subsea contractors keen to provide a possible 11-well subsea water injection system.
Players such as Cooper Cameron, FMC Technologies and Vetco Gray will likely chase the work and must contact HMDC by 2 September.
The key players will be Cameron, which is supplying the subsea production system for Husky's nearby White Rose project, and FMC, which handled similar work on Petro-Canada's Terra Nova field and recently struck an east coast frame agreement with the Calgary player.
