The industry body recently sent out a press release heralding the official entry of the word "subsea" into the English language.
"Subsea enters English language but industry chief warns that poor communication is damaging the industry's future prospects," it was headlined.
The release described how the organisation had achieved a "major milestone in its communication strategy" by "succeeding in getting the word accepted into the English dictionary".
