The FPSO would initially handle production from five subsea wells at Ibhubesi, stripping out the field’s small volumes of condensate before gas is piped to shore at rates expected to average 100 million cubic feet per day, said Will Barker, managing director of Perth-based Sunbird.
Barker, speaking to Upstream on the sidelines of Global Pacific’s Africa Oil Week, said the FPSO would be sized to handle condensate from future development phases at Ibhubesi.
