CANADIAN integrated giant Suncor is waiting on the arrival of semi-submersible rig Transocean Barents to begin drilling and subsea work in the Terra Nova field off Newfoundland & Labrador.
The rig, which begins its contract on 1 July, is expected to arrive in the latter part of the summer to begin a drilling campaign around the Terra Nova floating production, storage and offloading vessel, said Steve Hogan, Suncor’s vice president of east coast operations.
