The Calgary-based junior holds a large resource position in the Mannville coals of north-central Alberta and the company is oversubscribed for the amount of carbon dioxide it expects to capture for sequestration or use in enhanced oil recovery.
“There’s a lot of carbon dioxide-enhanced oil recovery potential in the Swan Hills area, and in the greater Swan Hills area there’s a huge collection of reservoirs that are potentially amenable,” said company president Douglas Shaigec.
