ExxonMobil has exited a series of blocks in the US Gulf of Mexico after it reached a deal with Talos Energy to assume 100% control of the acreage.
US independent Talos has taken over blocks 326, 327, 370 and 371 in the Green Canyon area from the Texas-based supermajor.
The acreage, which in total extends over 23,000 acres, contains the Hershey prospect, which is a large sub-salt Miocene prospect with several stacked horizons.
