Australia’s McConnell Dowell has been awarded a major sub-contract for marine works linked to the Tangguh liquefied natural gas expansion project in Indonesia.

The company's workscope includes a bulk offloading facility and the LNG and condensate loading jetty.

Saipem is the main offshore and onshore contractor for the Tangguh expansion.

The Australian company's detailed workscope for the bulk offloading facility involves building two finger piers and a quay wall, installation of sheet piles, tie-rods and waling beams, with a 500 metre concrete capping beam, installation of marine furniture, and installation of a floating pontoon with gangway and catwalks.
