The converted FSO will be used to replace the existing floater, the ageing Cinta Natomas, which is expected to be returned to national oil company Pertamina once the new unit is installed. The timing of the contract is, however, still unsure.
The 10-year plus options lease contract, which was originally slated to start on 1 January, has already been pushed back until 1 June and there are indications that this schedule may slip again.
