Tanzania will evaluate some 29 companies expressing interest in a feasibility study of a pipeline planned to supply a portion of the country's proven gas reserves of 57.25 trillion cubic feet to neighbouring Uganda for power generation, writes Barry Morgan.

Tanzania Petroleum Development Corporation (TPDC) Acting Managing Director Kapuulya Musomba told an industry conference in Dar es Salaam that the successful contractor would not only cost out the project but also analyse current and future regional gas demand.
