Tanzanian President John Magufuli and Qatari Deputy Prime Minister Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani have signed a co-operation agreement, partly focusing on infrastructure and gas.

“We have enough gas reserves so we are inviting Qatar investors to come and invest in this sector,” said Magafuli, citing Qatar’s experience in gas processing.

Magafuli this week raised the estimate for Tanzania’s proven reserves to 58 trillion cubic feet of gas.
