Work has begun on line clearing and surveying of the 136-square kilometre shoot, which is expected to take about five months to complete.
The survey is intended to give the operator detailed subsurface information along the northern, less explored part of the Belait trend.
Chinese contracter BGP is performing the Belait North 3D survey.
