Abu Dhabi's state controlled Taqa restarted production at its Tern Alpha platform off the UK midweek after a shut-in when a worker was injured by a fire.

A small fire broke out on board Tern Alpha, located 500 kilometres north-east of Aberdeen, at about 2pm on Monday, which resulted in the crew member sustaining an arm injury.

A Taqa spokeswoman told Upstream the fire was quickly extinguished and production on the platform was shut in.
