Abu Dhabi National Energy Company (Taqa) is to convert its Eider Alpha production platform in the UK North Sea into a utility facility as it seeks to extend the life of the Otter field and a nearby platform.
The Otter field had previously produced via Eider, but a bypass programme completed late last year now sends flows to North Cormorant, which is also operated by Taqa.
