Independent Russian gas producer Novatek is expecting to start operations at the second liquefaction train of its Yamal liquefied natural gas plant in West Siberia in September, deputy executive chairman Mark Gyetvay told an industry conference in Vienna last week, writes Vladimir Afanasiev.

The start-up of the second train is set to double capacity of the Novatek-led project to 11 million tonnes per annum of LNG.
