The Hoang Long joint operating company in Vietnam is preparing to drill a second high-temperature, high-pressure exploration well at the Te Giac Trang oilfield in an effort to better understand the play, writes Russell Searancke.
The first high-temperature, high-pressure well, TGT 31P, was drilled in January 2019. It found oil in deeper horizons. A single drillstem test was done and 250 barrels per day of oil flowed to surface under controlled conditions.
