An official with the French engineering outfit's Houston team said it remained undecided whether to focus on a study of a so-called 'maxi' version or instead to examine a floater specifically intended for deep-water field development in west Africa.
"It continues to evolve," said a company source of the EDP, which stands for Extendable Draft Platform for the heave suppression pontoon that can be raised or lowered depending on water depth.
