Technip has won the engineering services, project management and construction management contracts for the Lapangan Minas surfactant project.
It is understood Technip was competing against JGC Corporation, while a third outfit, Rekayasa Industri, was involved in the bid early on.
It is not known what competitive advantage Technip brought to the table, although sources said the company has been hungry for new work, and bid aggressively for the recent Madura BD front-end engineering and design contract.
