TechnipFMC is the recipient of the first major turnkey contract for the US$4 billion to US$4.8 billion Barossa gas project in Australia, which aims to provide backfill gas to the Darwin liquefied natural gas facility, writes Russell Seareancke.
TechnipFMC was selected to supply the subsea production system on an engineering, procurement and construction basis.
The contract includes the engineering, design and fabrication of wellheads, manifolds and control system as well as installation and commissioning assistance.
