UK-based TechnipFMC has been awarded the fabrication and installation contract for the subsea production system for phase two of Equinor’s Johan Sverdrup field development off Norway.
Confirming an Upstream report, the contract covers engineering, procurement, construction and installation of five subsea templates and 18 christmas trees with associated components including manifolds, tie-in and control equipment.
The contract was defined by TechnipFMC as having a “significant” value, which it characterises as between $75 million and $250 million.
