An oil worker has died after being hit by a falling crane boom in the Tengiz field in western Kazakhstan.
The field is being produced and further developed by the Chevron-led TengizChevroil consortium.
The Atyrau regional labour inspection office confirmed the fatality but gave no further details, saying only that a commission has been set up to investigate the incident.
