Chevron recently awarded the front-end engineering and design work for a four-column TLP to produce its Big Foot discovery in the Walker Ridge area of the US Gulf.
The supermajor tipped engineers at KBR to spec out a 20,000-tonne production deck rated to produce 65,000 barrels per day of oil, while handing J Ray McDermott-Keppel joint venture FloaTec the FEED for the hull.
