Permitting activity for oil and gas drilling and completions in Texas dropped noticeably in July as operators in the US state strive to prioritise living within cash flow over growth.
The state's oil and gas regulator, the Texas Railroad Commission, issued a total of 912 original drilling permits, a 21% drop over 1153 in the same period one year ago.
