One of Vietnam's leading field operators is still waiting on an overdue jack-up rig to arrive for a drilling campaign aimed at providing a boost to oil production, writes Russell Searancke.
Under a contract between the Hoang Long joint operating company and PetroVietnam Drilling, the jack-up drilling rig PVD-1 was supposed to be on location drilling the first of several infill wells at the Te Giac Trang oilfield in the Cuu Long basin.
