The operator took on the jack-up rig Ensco 53 on Saturday and the drilling unit is now en-route to Salamander’s B8/38 concession. The drilling campaign comprises two development and two exploration wells. Salamander has also lined up Atwood Oceanics’ jack-up, Atwood Mako, to drill later this year on its blocks in the Greater Bualuang area.
The Atwood Mako is under construction in Singapore and is expected to be delivered in September.
