Like Lim himself, Dyna-Mac started from humble beginnings. Lim founded Dyna-Mac in 1990 as a constructor of piping systems and steel structures, along with the provision of skilled labour for the pharmaceutical, petrochemical and energy industries in Singapore.
In 1997, when Asian economies were in the doldrums, Lim led the group into a new business line by providing technical services and skilled labour for the fabrication and assembly of topsides modules for converted floating production, storage and offloading vessels and floating storage and offloading vessels.
