The conceptual conflict in Norway's North of Alvheim-Krafla-Askja (Noaka) area has centred on two competing solutions that would develop a varying number of discoveries, writes Ole Ketil Helgesen.

Aker BP’s preferred solution has involved a new hub platform in the central part of the area with processing and living quarters and capacity to produce about 107,000 barrels of oil and 16 million cubic metres of gas per day.
