US independent Noble Energy is considering plans to install a third pipeline to transport gas from its Tamar field to Israeli customers, writes Iain Esau.
Tamar is currently producing about 1 billion cubic feet per day of gas, with its maximum capacity standing at 1.1 Bcfd.
From six wells in a water depth of 1670 metres, gas is sent to a processing platform on the continental shelf via a pair of 149-kilometre, 16-inch pipelines.
