Malta’s government is evaluating bids from three competitors to carry out front-end engineering and design work on an offshore pipeline that will import gas from Italy.
UK-based Wood, Belgium-headquartered Tractebel and an Italian joint venture of Techfem and SPS are the trio of rivals for a workscope that, as well as FEED studies, also includes the preparation of bid documents for the pipeline engineering, procurement and construction contract.
