The Takoradi Tower lost contact with the Black Hawk helicopter, with call sign Tuhaa, operated by Accra-based Volta River Aviation, on 8 May when it crashed with eight people on board.
The Ghanaian Navy and Air Force mounted an intensive search and rescue operation about 5.4 kilometres from the shore.
