Three leading contractors or consortia have submitted bids to India’s state-owned Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) in the first of two tenders it is running as part of its Life extension of Well Platforms (LEWP) project.
The line-up in the first LEWP tender, which is thought to be worth upwards of $200 million, includes a consortium of Indian engineering giant Larsen & Toubro (L&T) with compatriot Great Offshore, Malaysia’s SapuraKencana and another group involving domestic player Afcons, Halani Group and Triune Engineering, industry sources said.
