Oklahoma regulators have directed operators to shut in three oil and gas wastewater disposal wells after a 4.5 magnitude earthquake shook the northern part of the US state last week, writes Caroline Evans.
Operations at the wells were to be stopped until further notice, according to a release from the Oklahoma Corporation Commission (OCC). The commission did not disclose the well operator.
