In late May, Petrobras issued a tender for the charter of 18,000-brake-horsepower-rated AHTSs, wedded with remotely- operated vehicle capacity.
Bids were submitted on 11 October, according to a source.
It is understood that vessels were offered with dayrates in the $100,000 range, including ROVs, but Farstad Shipping emerged on top. The Oslo-listed company proposed the Far Sagaris and Far Scorpion vessels for prices slightly better than the competition.
