Three decommissioning players are joining forces to grab a larger share of the growing UK market as older platforms are being lined up for dismantling in the years ahead.
Dutch veteran Heerema Marine Contractors, Norwegian group AF Gruppen and Decom Energy, which specialises in operating end-of-life fields, last week agreed to set up the joint venture Fairfield Decom, which will be based in Aberdeen.
