BP STARTED returning workers to its Thunder Horse semi-submersible platform in the deep-water US Gulf of Mexico midweek after shutting it following a power outage.
The UK supermajor evacuated about 300 personnel from the platform as a precaution after its lost electrical power on Monday. Essential and technical workers were flown back on Tuesday and the company began redeploying other offshore personnel on Wednesday.
