A further subsea tie-back is on the cards for Aker BP’s Skarv field in the Norwegian Sea following a small oil and gas discovery by Polish partner PGNiG at the nearby Shrek prospect.
The satellite find, which was drilled by semi-submersible Deepsea Nordkapp, is estimated to hold between 19 million and 38 million barrels of oil equivalent in recoverable resources, according to the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD).
