THE results of Timor-Leste's national election are still being finalised, but there are doubts the country’s Minister of Petroleum & Mineral Resources Alfredo Pires has kept his seat.
Sources said Pires’ future hangs on the outcome of negotiations between the various political parties.
The two main parties — Fretilin, led by Mari Alkatiri, and the National Congress for Timorese Reconstruction, led by Xanana Gusmao — won 23 and 22 seats, respectively.
